Ribcage (Violence / Utopia)

by Christos Polydorou

A little pain never killed anyone.
Just ask Adam.
Guy was so lonely in Eden,
he sacrificed his own rib,
so that it would be turned into Eve,
his wife. Let us not spare a moment comparing Adam with our gentlemen today, hashtagging our line: sarcasm. I’d like for us, please, to focus on the moment
God reaches in Adam’s chest
and snaps off his rib.

This is heaven.
