I see your painting
and raise you poetry

Centuries of painting
Poetry is older

Merciful divinations
unifying the senses…

History became
subject to the laws

of texture and
to the laws of caress.

Homer was only much later matched by…
And Plato famously transcribed Socrates…

However the Catholic Church burnt all of Sappho’s poetry…
“Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt,

and poetry is painting that is felt rather than seen,” said
Leonardo da Vinci when he was working,

and writing poetry.

Imagine da Vinci
vacillating between

the two (and many more) mediums
every single day

his senses

gathering them infinitely
like seeds in a very pomegranate.
