Words are magic

If life gets too static:
words are magic.
Turtledoves
fly out of top hats lethargic.

If love gets too tragic:
words are magic.
Rabbits
leap out of the tail ends of bad habits.

If death gets too pedantic:
words are magic.
Colorful scarves
spin out of sleeves romantic.

And if your next life gets too nostalgic:
words are magic.
Magician assistants
sawed in two, somehow is cathartic.
