The sign of Cancer is said to be associated with the characteristics: introspective (the examination of one’s own conscious thoughts and feelings and mental state), phlegmatic (having an unemotional and stolidly calm disposition), cardinal (serving as a hinge), nocturnal (thrive at night), tenacious (persisting, unshakeable, difficult to dispel), intuitive (a feeling of knowing or understanding something without evident rational thought and inference), emotional (having feelings that are easily excited and openly displayed), indolent (lazy), domestic (househusbandry), eloquent (depends on how hot my audience is), refined (see: eloquent), empathic (showing an ability to understand and share the feelings of another, or compassionate), and clairvoyant (psychic).
